BIOGRAPHY

Nora Rahal, also known as Noura Rahal, was born on October 8, 1973, in Damascus, Syria, to a Lebanese father and a Syrian mother. She grew up between the two cultures and later settled in Lebanon as her artistic career began to develop.

Rahal’s career began in the late 1990s and early 2000s, primarily in Syrian television. She appeared in a number of TV series, including Hawa Bahri, where she performed the opening theme alongside Michelle Achkar, as well as Ahlam Kebira, Beyt Jaddi, Koam Al-Hajar, and Safar. These early roles marked her entry into the entertainment industry and introduced her to audiences across the region.

Alongside her acting work, Rahal developed a career as a singer, making her musical debut in 2001 with early singles such as Sallemly Aalbak and Shoflak Hall. Around 2006, her single Kollo 3adi gained notable attention, establishing her presence in the Arab music scene. Over time, she released several albums, including Hobak Daa, Ashwag Al-Magheeb, Meen Heya, Maliket Zamani, and Donyeti Ahla. Many of her songs were accompanied by music videos recorded in various locations, further showcasing her work as a recording artist.

Her music blends traditional Arabic melodies with contemporary influences, covering themes of love, life, and personal experience. Tracks such as Ala Fekra have received widespread attention on streaming platforms, reflecting continued audience interest.

In 2007, Rahal was diagnosed with breast cancer. The illness was detected at an early stage, allowing for successful treatment, and she underwent medical care in France. Her experience with the disease and recovery became a significant part of her personal story and, in some public discussions, served to raise awareness about the importance of early detection.

In addition to her earlier work in Syrian television, Rahal has continued acting, including recent roles in Arabic-language drama series. In 2025, she appeared in the Arabic version of the Turkish series Al-Qadar (The Destiny) and played the character “Zizi” in the Ramadan production Taj, alongside actors such as Bassam Kousa, Tim Hassan, and Faya Younan. She has also been associated with projects like Transit, which has been distributed on various platforms.

Rahal’s professional journey reflects her work across music, television, and acting, bringing together multiple facets of performance art. Outside her career, she is known to value her family life, balancing personal and professional commitments throughout her years in the entertainment industry.
